Designed optimization algorithm for oligonucleotide probe design from a very large set of DNA sequence alignments, in collaboration with Dr. André Lévesque (Pacific Agri-Food Research Centre, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Summerland, BC). This algorithm was implemented in the System for Finding Signature Oligos in Large DNA Sequence Alignments (SFSOLDSA), developed in Java and Prolog.

Utilized Rational Rose and Visio for design and architecture; IBM VisualAge and WebSphere, BEA WebLogic and JBuilder, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Oracle 8i on Solaris and MS SQL Server 7 on Windows 2000 for development; MS SourceSafe for configuration management and Rational ClearQuest for defect tracking. Designed and implemented usability guidelines and performed usability analysis. In my role as Chief Knowledge Engineer, architected and designed core artificial intelligence constraints-based configuration engine of ConciseMatch® product, a J2EE, web-based, multi-channel, intelligent guided-selling tool for broadband services configuration and sales, that would interface with multiple CRMs, Billing and Provisioning systems. Led the team of knowledge engineers, and trained the junior members, that would meet with the customers and analyze their products and services, pricing, discounting rules, promotions, etc. and transform the information, using ConciseMatch® knowledge engineering tools, into relational databases that could be mined and utilized by the sales optimization modules of said system.
